Keep pedigree problems in Record problems

  • Existing pedigree loops stay in Record problems, with a simple link beside the duplicate comparison controls. Safe duplicate merges remain available; a merge that creates new cyclic parent links is still blocked.

Allow safe merges around existing pedigree loops

  • An existing parent cycle no longer blocks a duplicate merge when the proposed parent links leave it unchanged or remove it. New cyclic links, self-parent links and ancestor–descendant merges remain blocked. Review shows named loop examples from both records’ ancestry and links to Record problems.

Show what needs attention before merging

  • Duplicate review now lists the fields or ancestors that prevent a merge. Click an item or Merge to jump to the first problem; records are only merged once the review requirements are resolved.
